Braille (English) Alphabet

Braille is a system of raised dots read by touch. Each cell has six dots in two columns of three, giving 63 possible patterns. This deck teaches Unified English Braille (UEB), the English code: letters a–z, the number sign, the capital sign, common punctuation and about twenty short Grade 2 (contracted) word signs. Other languages use their own braille codes, and the same cell can mean a different letter there. In Grade 2, a letter cell standing alone as a word is a shortcut (⠃ = but, ⠉ = can); the same cell inside a longer word is just the letter. If the cells show as boxes, your device lacks a font that covers the Braille Patterns block.
