Zullen Conjugation

zullen means "to shall" in Dutch. Present: ik zal, jij / je zult, u zult, hij / zij / het zal, wij / we zullen, jullie zullen. Below: all 3 tenses we teach, with examples.

Present Onvoltooid tegenwoordige tijd (o.t.t.)

Stem (infinitive minus -en) for ik; stem + -t for jij, u, hij; -en in the plural. After inversion the -t of jij is dropped (werk jij?). Used for now, habits, general truths and, very often, for the near future.

jij / jezult
uzult
hij / zij / hetzal
wij / wezullen
julliezullen
zij / zezullen

Simple past Onvoltooid verleden tijd (o.v.t.)

Weak verbs add -te/-de (-ten/-den in the plural) to the stem, chosen by 't kofschip; strong verbs change the stem vowel and take no ending in the singular. Used for narration and for completed actions told as a story, especially in writing.
