Likro Conjugation

לקרוא (likro) means "to read" in Hebrew. Present (participle): אני (ani) קורא (kore), אני (ani) קוראת (kore'et), אתה (ata) קורא (kore), את (at) קוראת (kore'et), הוא (hu) קורא (kore), היא (hi) קוראת (kore'et). Below: all 9 tenses we teach, with examples.

Present (participle) הווה (hove)

Participle that changes by gender and number only (m. sg., f. sg., m. pl., f. pl.); it covers both 'I write' and 'I am writing'. The subject pronoun shows the person. Pi'el, hif'il and hitpa'el participles start with מ־ (me-, ma-, mi-); nif'al starts with נ־.

Past habitual / conditional (used to, would)

The past of 'be' (היה) + the present participle: it means a repeated action in the past ('used to', 'would always') and, with the same words, a polite or hypothetical 'would' (הייתי רוצה 'I would like'). Context tells the two uses apart.
