wyjść means "to leave / go out" in Polish. Past, perfective: ja wyszedłem / wyszłam, ty wyszedłeś / wyszłaś, on / ona / ono wyszedł / wyszła / wyszło, my wyszliśmy / wyszłyśmy, wy wyszliście / wyszłyście, oni / one wyszli / wyszły. Below: all 4 tenses we teach, with examples.
Same -ł- endings, built on the perfective verb instead. Used for a single completed action, often with a visible result — this is what usually translates an English present perfect ("I've written it") as well as a simple past.
| ja | wyszedłem / wyszłam |
| ty | wyszedłeś / wyszłaś |
| on / ona / ono | wyszedł / wyszła / wyszło |
| my | wyszliśmy / wyszłyśmy |
| wy | wyszliście / wyszłyście |
| oni / one | wyszli / wyszły |
Perfective verbs have no separate future form: their present-tense-shaped conjugation (zrobię, napiszę, przeczytam...) already means "will do (completely)". This is the everyday way Poles say what will get finished.
| ja | wyjdę |
| ty | wyjdziesz |
| on / ona / ono | wyjdzie |
| my | wyjdziemy |
| wy | wyjdziecie |
| oni / one | wyjdą |
Same -by- pattern, built on the perfective past instead: zrobiłbym, napisałbym, przeczytałbym. Expresses a single hypothetical completed action — the form used in most "if" sentences with gdyby.
| ja | wyszedłbym / wyszłabym |
| ty | wyszedłbyś / wyszłabyś |
| on / ona / ono | wyszedłby / wyszłaby / wyszłoby |
| my | wyszlibyśmy / wyszłybyśmy |
| wy | wyszlibyście / wyszłybyście |
| oni / one | wyszliby / wyszłyby |
Bare stem + ending for "you" (rób, zrób); -my for "we" (róbmy, zróbmy); -cie for "you (plural)" (róbcie, zróbcie); niech + the present/future-shaped 3rd person for "he/she/it" and "they", and for the hortative "I" form.
| ja | — |
| ty | wyjdź |
| on / ona / ono | niech wyjdzie |
| my | wyjdźmy |
| wy | wyjdźcie |
| oni / one | niech wyjdą |
| Wyjdę wcześniej z pracy. | I'll leave work early. |
| Wyszedłem / wyszłam z domu o ósmej. | I left the house at eight. |
