Travel to Hong Kong is restricted for Chinese citizens.

Mainland residents need an Exit-entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (Two-way Permit) with an exit endorsement from the local Public Security Bureau; the passport alone is not enough. PRC passport holders only in transit to another country may stay 7 days without an entry permit.
