Russian citizens need a visa from an embassy or consulate to visit Greece.

Visa needed from an embassy or consulate

You Can Stay
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period (per visa granted)
Cost
€90 (Schengen visa fee)
Time To Get It
Normally 15 days, up to 45 days

Mostly single entry (multiple entry only for close family and transport workers)

Schengen visa required. Apply at the consulate that covers your place of residence in Russia; EU guidance tells consulates not to routinely take Russian applications from third countries. The EU suspended its visa facilitation agreement with Russia on 12 Sep 2022, so the standard €90 fee applies and a decision can take up to 45 days. Border officers register fingerprints and a photo under the EU Entry/Exit System (fully running since 10 Apr 2026).
