Entry & Visa
Russian citizens need a visa from an embassy or consulate to visit Japan.
Visa needed from an embassy or consulate
A visa is required. File it at the Japan Visa Application Centre in Moscow (Olympic Hall), no earlier than three months before the trip. The embassy waives the consular fee for Russian citizens, but the application centre may charge its own service fee. Processing takes longer around holidays.
