UK citizens don't need a visa for China for stays of up to 30 days.
No visa needed
China grants UK ordinary-passport holders visa-free entry for up to 30 days (business, tourism, family or friends visit, exchange and transit) from 17 Feb 2026 to 31 Dec 2026. For a longer stay you must apply for a visa in advance; check before booking trips after 31 Dec 2026.
