German citizens don't need a visa for China for stays of up to 30 days.
No visa needed
German passport holders can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting family or friends, exchange or transit for up to 30 days. This policy runs to 24:00 on 31 Dec 2026; check before booking later trips. If you do not meet the conditions you still need a visa.
